About Us
Bama Barkery is located in Alabama, and was created out of the desire to to treat our pets to the same homemade goodness that we enjoy. Owners, Michael and Johnna Matthews, love to spend time in the kitchen, trying new recipes and flavors. Johnna began cooking homemade dog treats for their two dogs, Gracie and Sister Sue, as well as for other dogs in their family. She and Michael noticed that the dogs seemed to have a special zest for the homemade treats over the store-bought biscuits. And so, Bama Barkery was born. Gracie and Sister Sue have been gracious taste-testers for the recipes, and Bama Barkery couldn't exist without their persistent volunteerism!
